Mindplay
Originally started out as a recreation of one of my older projects, namely time travel ([link]). But I changed course along the way and this is the result!
Enjoy.
Information: A little over a week, consisting of ~90 layers. As before; the planet is an earlier creation created and manipulated out of satellite images from NASA's Visible Earth project - with additional manipulations by brushes.

The first thing I notice is the light effect, which is absolutely stunning, and gives it a very powerful feel.
Next I noticed the small planet towards the center, and the fact that it's small compared to the anomaly is very powerful.
I think the color choice in this picture is very excellent, and the way there is no perfect shape to it makes it seem even better.
The way the shape of the "cloud" (I know its not a cloud) is layered to give it depth suggests that this anomaly is much larger, and the brilliance of the light coming from the center makes a stunning effect.
Amazing work, you should be proud of it.
